Despite my typical focus on capturing daily life and the mundane, I absolutely love stepping into the world of fashion/editorial photography. It’s always so rewarding to work with other creatives and take photos that everyone has a hand in bringing to life. About a month ago I met up with my friend Allie to do a shoot that was loosely inspired by the Resort 2020 Prada campaign. I love the simple but effective compositions, especially the focus on low angles. I honestly love the whole feel of the campaign.
For our shoot, we wanted to capture some of that same energy while putting an edgier spin on it: I chose an experimental film stock with very high contrast, and brought some last-minute props to help set the tone. Allie styled herself and was really able to capture a classy but rebellious spirit. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results and can’t wait to do more stuff like this
